if you think American Sniper is a “fuck yeah murica” movie you clearly haven’t seen it. The movie doesn’t glorify war or even the soldiers themselves, but instead gives a heartbreaking and powerful statement on PTSD and depression in veterans.
Too many war movies ignore the reality of mental illness in soldiers and this movie is a refreshing exception.
I’m so stupid for allowing my brother to drag me to watch American Sniper. The amount of white Republican men in american shirts and military men in their uniforms was ridiculous. My brother and I were the only black people up in that theater. And at the end of the film everybody (except me) got up and started applauding like that shit isn’t even serious. I’m so mad at the amount of money I spent.
Are you kidding me? You’re are angry about a movie that tells a soldiers story and the struggles he went through? You’re angry that soldiers who have been to war go to see a movie about a war they have served in, in their uniform? Who gives a flying mother fuck if you were the only blacks in there. You should still have respect for the people who defend your dumbass.
